The human mind once stretched
to a new idea never goes back to its original dimensions. —Oliver
Wendell Holmes
TSI brings an “integral design” philosophy and methodology
to most of our community planning, conference design and other diverse
stakeholder engagements. This philosophy is broadly based on systems-thinking
and appreciates the need to understand how change in one dimension
of the community, such as improvements to the transportation system,
impacts the other facets that make up the complete community. Our innovative
group process design tools foster greater participation, shared vision,
alignment and community buy-in. Together with the “integral design” philosophy,
our tools promote the highest integration and synergy possible, and
a deeper understanding of the relationships within the system. We specialize
in orchestrating conversations of diverse, and sometimes contentious,
stakeholders desiring to come together to talk about important and
challenging issues for which no one entity has responsibility. We are “conversation
engineers” who engage groups, from small to very large, in purposeful
and productive conversations.
